Diversifying the ESports Community

Attending the ESports Business Summit in Las Vegas. This seminar focused on women in the industry. What a huge developing business. As an optometrist, those individuals who are involved with extreme digital screen time could very well be in need of vision care dealing with issues of blurred vision, visual fatigue and headaches and improved performance in gaming. Angle Closure Glaucoma

Is it safe to dilate everyone's eyes? This video explains different cases in which it may not be safe.

Treating Dry Eye

The drop I am referring to is Pazeo by Alcon Pharmaceutical. It is by prescription only. It has worked well for my patients. No drop should be administered unless the patient is evaluated by an eye care professional. This drop is a combination of antihistamine and mast cell stabilizer. The mast cell stabilizer helps reduce the amount of irritants ( contained within the mast cells) caused by the mast cells in the eye being released. They're released when the mast cells break apart. The antihistamine reduces the amount of histamine. Again, this drop is by prescription only and I have found the generic does not work as well. Be aware that this drop does not work on all eye conditions.

Emergency Patient

A new patient came in unable to open her eyes and we helped her out with some drops to help heal her eyes. Rancho Cucamonga Optometric Center 7211 Haven Ave, Ste A Rancho Cucamonga, California 91701 (909) 980-3535 http://www.ranchoeyedoctor.com
